WATANABE INTERNATIONAL, INC. COMPANY HISTORY
Founded in 1983 by the husband and wife team of Eric & Janice Watanabe, our company got its humble start in Aiea, Hawaii as Eric M. Watanabe Realty, Inc. Having been trained under the guidance of Herbert Horita, one of Hawaii’s most respected real estate developers and salesmen, Eric grew to appreciate the role of real estate in people’s lives. He began to see it as a vehicle for wealth building & financial independence – a philosophy that still guides us today. Janice entered the Property Management division of Eric’s business a few years later and has served as the head Property Manager for the last 25+ years.
In 2009, we uprooted from our long-term home in Aiea, and moved to the Central Oahu neighborhood of Waipio. With the emergence of the “Second City” of Kapolei, the promise of the new community of Koa Ridge, the groundbreaking of the Rail Transit system, and the growing migration of Oahu’s population throughout the island, our new location is poised to meet the new needs of the island community.
Over the years, the company has thrived on the principles of hard work, a solid ethical foundation and the belief that the experience of owning real estate can and should be enjoyed by all.
